If you want to accept online payments through ZurvaPay as a merchant, or earn commission by referring businesses as an agent, this page is the one place that walks you through every step: the documents we need, how approval works, the charges that apply, how your money reaches your bank account, and what the sub-merchant and agent programs are for. Read this once end-to-end and you will not need to ask us for pieces of it separately.
Who ZurvaPay is for
ZurvaPay is operated by Zurva Premier Solutions (SMC-Private) Limited, registered with SECP in Pakistan. We offer a single hosted checkout and API through which businesses can accept JazzCash, Easypaisa and Raast QR payments. The gateway is suitable for registered companies, sole proprietors with a valid NTN, online stores, SMM panels, service providers, SaaS platforms, educational platforms, agencies, marketplaces and most other lawful, low-to-medium-risk business categories. We do not onboard gambling, betting, iGaming, forex trading, crypto trading, investment schemes or other prohibited high-risk verticals, regardless of the volume offered.
Two kinds of accounts you can open
There are two completely separate account types on ZurvaPay, with their own sign-up pages and their own KYC forms.
- Merchant account — for the business that actually wants to receive customer payments. You get API keys, a hosted checkout, a dashboard, a wallet, sub-merchant support and withdrawal to your own bank account.
- Agent account — for individuals who want to refer merchants to ZurvaPay and earn commission on their activity. An agent is not a payment-collecting account; it is a referral and commission account.
Pick the one that matches what you want to do. The approval flow, the documents and the review are different for each, and they are described below in their own sections.
Merchant approval, step by step
Step 1 — Register
Open the merchant registration page from the Open a merchant account button on our website. You will enter your name, email, mobile number, a strong password and your business basics. A verification code is sent to your email to confirm the account.
Step 2 — Complete the merchant KYC form
After login, the dashboard will take you straight to the KYC form. All of the following are required, so prepare them before you start so the form can be completed in one sitting:
- Business owner / proprietor name — exactly as on the CNIC
- Father name
- CNIC number (13 digits, with or without dashes)
- Business contact number
- Company name — the legal business name you want on the account
- Company URL — the website or app where payments will be accepted
- Country, city and full business address
- Business type — Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, LLP, SMC-Private, Private Limited, Public, Government Entity, NGO, Society or Trust, or Individual
- Business category — pick the one that matches what you actually sell
- Average per-transaction amount — a realistic figure, not an aspirational one
- NTN certificate (upload) — FBR NTN of the business, or the proprietor's individual NTN for a sole proprietor
- CNIC front and back (upload, clear and readable)
- Recent electricity bill picture (upload) — proof of the business / owner address
- Live owner picture (upload) — a live photo of the owner holding the original CNIC in hand next to the face, with both the face and the CNIC clearly visible
Accepted file types for uploads are JPG, JPEG, PNG and PDF (DOC/DOCX are accepted on the NTN and electricity-bill fields). Make sure everything is legible — blurry or cropped documents are the single most common reason KYC is sent back for re-submission.
Step 3 — Review by our team
Once submitted, your KYC enters Pending status and lands in the admin review queue. We check that the uploaded documents are genuine and match the information you entered, that the CNIC is not already registered on another account, and that the business category is one we support. Typical turnaround is 24 to 72 working hours. If something is missing or unclear, we send the application back with a note so you can fix just that piece and re-submit — you do not restart from the beginning.
Step 4 — Approval and going live
After approval your dashboard unlocks. You can then:
- Generate your API keys (public and secret)
- Register your website domain under the account — only requests from this domain will be accepted by the API
- Test the integration against the sandbox at zurvapay.com/api/documentation
- Switch to live keys and start accepting real payments
Agent approval, step by step
The agent flow uses a simpler KYC because an agent does not receive customer payments. The steps:
- Register from the Become an agent link on our website (your name, email, mobile, password, email verification).
- Complete the agent KYC form, which asks for:
- Full Name
- Father Name
- CNIC Number (13 digits)
- Address and City
- CNIC front and back (upload)
- Live photo holding the CNIC beside the face
- Submit — the application goes into admin review on the same 24–72 hour timeline.
- After approval, your dashboard shows your personal referral link. Every merchant who signs up through that link is tagged to you. When they withdraw funds, a commission percentage is credited to your agent wallet and listed in your commission log. Your My Referred Merchants screen shows each referred merchant's current balance, total withdrawals and the commission you have earned from them specifically.
Agents cannot collect payments from customers — if you also run a business and want to accept payments, open a separate merchant account under the business for that purpose.
What we charge
- Setup fee — none. Opening an account is free.
- Monthly fee — none. There is no monthly or annual fee to keep a merchant account.
- Transaction charges — method-wise rates (JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast QR) are shared after onboarding and KYC have progressed. Rates can differ by business category and expected volume, which is why they are not published as a single public number.
- Withdrawal / refund / settlement charges — shared together with the transaction rates after onboarding.
- Reserve / holdback — most categories have none. For a few higher-risk categories a small rolling reserve may apply; if so it is communicated during the onboarding review before you start accepting live payments.
How settlement works
Every merchant and sub-merchant on ZurvaPay has its own wallet inside the dashboard. When a customer's payment is confirmed (JazzCash, Easypaisa or Raast QR), the amount — less our transaction charges — is credited to that merchant's own wallet. The standard settlement window is 24 to 48 hours after a payment is confirmed; this is the time between a successful customer payment and the amount showing in your wallet as available balance.
Funds are not pooled between merchants. Each merchant's balance stays in its own wallet, in the merchant's own name, and withdraws to the merchant's own approved bank account.
How withdrawals work
- Open the Withdraw section of your dashboard.
- Enter the amount (within your available wallet balance) and pick the saved bank account.
- Submit the request. It goes into the withdrawal queue.
- Once processed, the amount is sent to the bank account on your KYC. The status moves to Success in your withdrawal history, with the bank reference against it.
Your withdrawal history, transaction log and settlement report are all available from the dashboard and can be filtered by date and status. For sub-merchant platform accounts, the parent can also filter by sub-merchant.
Sub-merchant accounts — when and how
If you operate several websites, a chain of stores, or a platform where many individual businesses (for example, schools, agencies' clients, or franchise outlets) will each receive their own payments, you do not open a merchant account for each one. You open one parent merchant account, complete its KYC, and then add each website / business / school as a sub-merchant under it. Each sub-merchant:
- Has its own business name, website, API keys, transactions and dashboard view
- Completes its own KYC and is approved individually by our team
- Has its own wallet — funds from its customers go directly into that sub-merchant's wallet, never pooled
- Withdraws to its own bank account — the parent never holds the sub-merchant's money
- Can be configured by the parent with a platform commission (percentage, fixed amount, or both). At settlement, ZurvaPay charges and the parent commission are deducted automatically and the net is credited to the sub-merchant's wallet, while the commission lands in the parent's own wallet — so the parent earns a platform fee without ever touching the sub-merchant's funds.
Common reasons KYC is sent back
Most re-submissions are triggered by one of these, and all of them are avoidable:
- Blurry, cropped or partial CNIC scans — upload a clear, flat, full image of both sides
- Live photo not showing both the face and the CNIC at once
- CNIC number mismatched with the uploaded CNIC image
- Business owner name written differently from the CNIC
- Website in the application is not live, or does not match the business category selected
- Electricity bill name / address not matching the submitted business or owner address
- The same CNIC already in use on another ZurvaPay account
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does approval take?
Most accounts are reviewed within 24 to 72 working hours of a complete submission. Weekends and public holidays can add time.
Can an unregistered individual open a merchant account?
An individual sole proprietor can, with a valid CNIC and an individual FBR NTN in the proprietor's name plus proof of business activity (website / app and bank account in the proprietor's or business name). If you have no NTN at all, obtain an individual FBR NTN first — it is free and can be done online.
Do I need SECP registration specifically?
No. SECP registration is required only if your business type is SMC-Private, Private Limited, Public or similar corporate entity. Sole proprietors, partnerships and NGOs provide their respective registrations (FBR NTN, partnership deed, or NGO registration) along with CNIC.
How soon can I test the API?
The sandbox at zurvapay.com/api/documentation is open for technical review in parallel with your KYC — you do not have to wait for approval to start integrating. Only live transactions require a completed KYC.
Which payment methods can I accept?
JazzCash, Easypaisa and Raast QR, all through the same checkout and the same API. Raast QR is a universal QR — your customer can scan it from any banking or wallet app and the payment is captured automatically, with no method-specific checkout.
What happens if a customer pays but my checkout page errors out?
ZurvaPay re-checks such payments directly with the payment provider and confirms them automatically, so your customer's payment is not lost. Your IPN callback is retried up to 8 times if your server does not answer with HTTP 200, and an optional status API lets your own cron job complete any order that was paid.
Can I change the bank account on my account later?
Yes, but changes are reviewed. Requests to update the settlement bank account are checked against the account name, CNIC and business registration on file before they take effect.
What business categories do you not accept?
Gambling, betting, iGaming, forex trading, crypto trading, investment schemes, adult content, and any other category that is unlawful in Pakistan or that our underlying payment partners do not support. These are declined at any volume.
