Payment Gateway KYC in Pakistan: What You Need to Get Your Merchant Account Approved

Every legitimate payment gateway verifies its merchants before it lets them take payments. This is called KYC, short for know your customer. It protects honest businesses, their customers and the gateway itself. This guide explains what to prepare for ZurvaPay merchant KYC so your application is approved without delays.

Why KYC exists

KYC confirms that the person behind the account is real and that the business is genuine. It reduces fraud, protects customers from fake stores and keeps the whole payment network trustworthy. It is a normal step, not a sign that something is wrong.

Details you will be asked for

  • Your identity: full name exactly as on your CNIC, father's name and CNIC number.
  • Next of kin: a close family member's name, relationship, mobile number and CNIC, different from your own.
  • Business details: business or owner name, contact number, business address and city.
  • Where you will use ZurvaPay: your website, mobile app or bot.

Documents and photos

The form also asks for clear photos of the required documents, for example the front and back of your CNIC, and may ask for a live photo of you. Use clear, uncropped JPG or PNG photos taken in good light. The exact list is shown on your KYC form, so what you see there is what applies.

Your website, app or bot

You choose one platform where you will use ZurvaPay: a website, mobile app, Telegram bot, WhatsApp bot, Discord bot or desktop software. Payments are accepted only from that platform, which protects you if your keys ever leak. For a website, just type the domain, for example yourshop.com; you do not need to add https:// or www. Common reasons for rejection

  • Name on the form does not match the name on the CNIC.
  • Blurry, cropped or unreadable document photos.
  • The CNIC or website is already used on another account.
  • A website that is empty, under construction or does not match the business described.
  • Next of kin details that are missing or the same as your own.

How to get approved faster

  1. Prepare every document before you start the form.
  2. Copy details exactly as printed on your CNIC.
  3. Make sure your website or app is live and describes what you sell.
  4. Photograph documents flat, in daylight, with all four corners visible.
  5. Check your mobile number and email, since our team may contact you.

After approval

Once approved you receive your API keys, register your domain, add a bank account for withdrawals and start accepting payments. If your application is rejected, the reason is shown and, in most cases, you can correct the details and submit again.
